The world's fastest and most horrible death

Electric Train High Tension Wire Shock dead      One man in India Blames everyone standing on the roof of an express train, he demands something and blames them he will hold the High Voltage Electric Wire Running over the Train if his demand will not be accepted.  Actually he was travelling in the Mahananda Express, en route from Delhi to Alipurduar. He had embarked upon the train from Aligarh. In his Procrastination he holds the wire and within fraction of second the High voltage passes his body and he dies with a huge sparks and fire. It is a worrying thing that people started using these kind of dangerous thing as a suicide medium. :(

Weak hearted Don’t see this please..

Man Proposes Electricity Disposes

Do you know What are the voltages used for electric traction in india?
Its 1.5kV DC and 25kV AC for mainline trains.

Very sad that someone would do this. Desperation and mental illness can cause people to do terrible things. Suicide is a permanent solution to usually a temporary problem. This was someone’s son, brother, or possibly father.

Anonymous said...

I had to replay it three times! WoWzer :o

It is alot different in india than here in the US. What he did was stupid. But I listened to the voices and I didnt hear anything retarded. They have a different language called hindi, and the ones you was listening to was the ones making the video. I also don't think you relize how many people travel on the train in India, or even how many people are in the country/city/state. It is probably 3 times more packed than NYC. It looked to me like they was trying to save his life. The trains there are different than the subway here. It is very dangerous for even someone trying to save the person.

I see how some people get a charge out of this but I think it is shocking. We'll never know if the currents of this man's life allowed him to live up to his full potential. It looks like people tried to defuse the situation but the gentleman may have been of diminished capacity. I could say something flip but I'd rather state my resistance to doing so.

first of all i m really shocked after watching this, it seems the man was out of his mind. do you how much voltage those wires carries ? its freaking 25000 volts yes twenty five thousand volts, and what he did was his own decision but at the same time he was endangering the life of all the passengers who were in the train at the same time because when he got zapped did you thought from where current passed ? it passed by nothing but trains compartment. Thanks god that he just fell off and wasn't stuck else it will be catastrophe and you will be watching more deaths and some peoples will get kicks with this.

Anonymous said...

oooooh damn. i got off on that

Apocalyp5e said...

well some correction what i said earlier the pplz inside the will not get the shock because of gausses theory the current will pass from the the outer shell of any conductive body but if someone touching the outer part at same time he will meet the same fate like if someone has his hands on windows.

If he could have had the juice turned off... THEN... grabbed the wire... and then had the juice turned back on... then his body could have been used for a conductor and he might not have been hurt... but then he would have had to have the juice turned off again before he let go. That was his mistake- grabbing it while it was hot ... plus and I am not sure of this... really how good of a conductor he would have made... that's still open for study. It may have been to much to handle under any circumstances. Dr Mengele, you out there anywhere?

Watch it in slo-mo, he wasn't actually going to do it, yet. He was only threatening. He put his hand up as though he was -going- to touch it, that created a path and you can see the air around him ionize and finally electrical arc. He never actually came close to the wire ... he just didn't know electricity would do that! I sure am glad to get him out of the gene pool though!

Anonymous said...

... but if -I- was going to commit suicide, that's how I'd do it!! His electrical system fried instantly, he never even felt pain. Too bad he was only looking for attention and never meant to do it. Well to quote a great man, "Stupid is as stupid does." -FG

Andrew P. in California, USA said...

I don't think it was a suicide. It appeared to me as if he absentmindedly reached up to steady himself, much as one would reach for a handrail on a bus or tram. With 25,000 volts on the catenary, in bare feet on the metal roof of the railway carriage, he didn't even need to make contact; getting his hand within a centimetre was sufficient to strike an arc.

This is a man who did not know what he was doing! The way he touched the wire was as though he was very casually reaching for it to balance himself. It was not as though he was defiantly grabbing it to show the on lookers he meant it! Very sad! Makes my sick to my stomach that some people find it humorous and entertaining...This is being sent around in random emails as though it's no big deal. Please there is a real human side to this and the loss of life is a tragedy regardless.

Touch the wrong wire and your ash!!!!!!

Cutting Trees around power lines can do the same thing to. you don't have to touch it to die.. just near it and it can jump and your ash

And for all them people that see this to be funny. Next time you go to play with the inside of a TV or any electronic appliance. Or paint a home out side or cut down a tree near power lines. Get someone to video tape it so we can have a laugh at you or some one you know.

When scaffolds, conductive tools, or other materials contact overhead power lines (see Figure 1), workers receive serious and often fatal injuries. Data from the NIOSH National Traumatic Occupational Fatalities (NTOF) data base indicate that nearly 6,500 traumatic work-related deaths occur each year in the United States; an estimated 7% of these fatalities are electrocutions [NIOSH 1991]. The NTOF data base also shows that from 1980 through 1986, at least 25 deaths resulted when workers contacted overhead power lines while erecting or moving scaffolds or while using conductive tool on scaffolds.

On October 31, 1986, a crew of four painters (aged 56, 37, 37, and 31) completed painting one side of a three-story structure. The crew was using a five-tier, tubular, welded-frame scaffold mounted on 5-inch, rubber-clad aluminum wheels. The painters and the crew chief attempted to move the 28.5-foot scaffold to the other side of the structure. The scaffold contacted one phase of a 12,000-volt power line that was approximately 27.5 feet above the ground. The contact created a path to the ground for the electric current. The four painters were electrocuted and the crew chief was severely burned [NIOSH 1986a].

Maseth, 24, of Shaler, Pa., outside Pittsburgh, was electrocuted on Jan. 2 when an improperly grounded electric water pump short-circuited and flowed through the pipes. Since the coiled hose was touching his arm, he was hit with an electrical jolt and went into cardiac arrest and died.

Maseth's tragic death brings to 12 the number of soldiers who have died in Iraq due to accidental electrocution, according to Army and Marine e-mails obtained by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif.

By comparison, there were 250 occupational fatalities due to electrocution among all workers in the United States in 2005, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Be aware that the following types of farm machinery can accidentally brush or get hung up in overhead power lines while in use or being moved:

Tractors with front-end loaders.

Portable grain augers.

Fold-up cultivators.

Moving grain elevators.

Irrigation pipes.

Equipment with antennas.
Watch out for overhead electrical lines.

Know where power lines are located.

Treat all overhead power lines as though they are bare and uninsulated.

Keep all equipment away from overhead lines.
Always be aware of where power lines are when:

Using ladders.

Harvesting tree crops.

Moving equipment.
Always use pre-planned routes that avoid power lines when moving equipment.

Know what to do if equipment you are operating comes in contact with an overhead power line.

Stay on the equipment.

Ask for someone to immediately contact the local utility company to remove the danger.

If there is an emergency such as an electrical fire and you must leave the equipment, jump as far away from the equipment as possible.

Do not allow any part of your body to touch the equipment and the ground at same time.

Shuffle away from where you jumped; do not take large strides. Too large a step could put each foot in a different voltage zone and electrocute you.

Once away from the equipment, never attempt to get back on or even touch it. Many electrocutions occur when the worker dismounts, then gets back on the equipment.

Do You Know... that each year 3.6 percent of the deaths of youths under age 20 on farms are caused by electrocution? Electrocution is quick and deadly and is one of the most overlooked hazards of farm work. The most common cause of electrocutions are portable grain augers, oversized wagons, large combines, and other tall equipment that come into contact with overhead power lines. Every year 62 farm workers are electrocuted in the United States.

Psychological
The perception of electric shock can be different depending on the voltage, duration, current, path taken, frequency, etc. Current entering the hand has a threshold of perception of about 5 to 10 mA (milliampere) for DC and about 1 to 10 mA for AC at 60 Hz. Shock perception declines with increasing frequency, ultimately disappearing at frequencies above 15-20 kHz.

Burns
Heating due to resistance can cause extensive and deep burns. Voltage levels of 500 to 1000 volts tend to cause internal burns due to the large energy (which is proportional to the duration multiplied by the square of the current) available from the source. Damage due to current is through tissue heating. In some cases 16 volts might be fatal to a human being when the electricity passes through organs such as the heart

Ventricular fibrillation
A low-voltage (110 or 230 V), 50 or 60-Hz AC current through the chest for a fraction of a second may induce ventricular fibrillation at currents as low as 60 mA. With DC, 300 to 500 mA is required. If the current has a direct pathway to the heart (e.g., via a cardiac catheter or other kind of electrode), a much lower current of less than 1 mA, (AC or DC) can cause fibrillation. If not immediately treated by defibrillation, fibrillations are usually lethal because all the heart muscle cells move independently. Above 200 mA, muscle contractions are so strong that the heart muscles cannot move at all.

Neurological effects
Current can cause interference with nervous control, especially over the heart and lungs. Repeated or severe electric shock which does not lead to death has been shown to cause neuropathy.

When the current path is through the head, it appears that, with sufficient current, loss of consciousness almost always occurs swiftly. (This is borne out by some limited self-experimentation by early designers of the electric chair and by research from the field of animal husbandry, where electric stunning has been extensively studied).

Arc-flash hazards
Approximately 80% of all injuries and fatalities caused by electrical incidents are not caused by electric shock, but by the intense heat, light, and pressure wave (blast) caused by electrical faults.[3] The arc flash in an electrical fault produces the same type of light radiation from which electric welders protect themselves using face shields with dark glass, heavy leather gloves, and full-coverage clothing. The heat produced may cause severe burns, especially on unprotected flesh. The blast produced by vaporizing metallic components can break bones and irreparably damage internal organs. The degree of hazard present at a particular location can be determined by a detailed analysis of the electrical system, and appropriate protection worn if the electrical work must be performed with the electricity on.

It sad to know that people in this world are not given the normal education by there own governments to know what electricity can do to your body. Ac, alternating current is the movement (flow) of electric charge periodically reverses direction. Which means there is a – and + state of electricity flow. This has the capacity to kill but you, as many know, you can still have a second chance. As to dc, Direct current, which you have just witnessed, is the unidirectional flow of electric charge. Which is a consent positive charge. In most cases you don’t have a second chance and if you do, most like the person how is hit by this force of energy will died of infections form burns or organ failing because the whole body has been cooked inside out. As to some of the comments on this site, you sound really uneducated go back to school!!

Anonymous said...

Your point isn't relevent to the discussion. Your rambling is a way of trying to make yourself superior to the other readers. AC and DC will both kill you under the right conditions. Aids will probably kill you if you are AC/DC. The man tried to kill himself and succeeded! That doesn't make one government better than others...(what a moron!!)

The really funny part isn't shown in the video... Four rescue workers came to the scene, three of them went on top of the train to put out the fire and remove the body and first one of them reached his hand up to steady himself and BAM! BAM! He too was smokin'. Then a minute later a second rescue worker proves for a third time electricity kills.

A few of the people commenting are genuine article nihilists, others are pretending because they're pissed off at the world and this is a way to feel like they mean it. Don't let it get you down. Personally I have little sympathy for suicides knowing the suffering they cause others, and this one in particular was putting other people's lives in danger. I wish someone had saved him, but I also feel zero guilt getting a kick out of watching him burn.

How accidental is it if he is ON TOP OF A TRAIN!?!!?!
Did the train just slide under him?
Death only bothers the living.
How sad it is that some low-lifes have to surf the net to find something to bitch about....and make themselves look holy.

The boy/man lifted his right arm to grab the wire without even looking up at it or hesitating, and after putting his left hand in his pocket... a casual gesture, as if reaching up to touch a tree branch while walking around. Many people do this, reach out to touch things within reach. I don't believe he meant to die. I don't think you'd stroll the way he was with a hand in your pocket if you were contemplating your imminent suicide. Nor would you commit the act while walking. Unfortunately the poor man wasn't wearing any shoes, and not even a shirt.

Have you never seen people climb atop trains because they're too crowded, or just because they can't pay for a ticket? This man probably died by accident and because of ignorance. How many accidents have you had in your life? How many were due to simple ignorance/not knowing the risks, or simply absent-mindedness? What if one of them had killed you? How dare you mock a person who died because of that? Have you ever seen a dead human being? Have you ever had a death in your family or friends?

Electrical wires for trains should be placed a lot higher, since people can climb up atop trains, and safety measures are precisely there to avoid accidents such as this.

Comment to Pete:
(Electrical wires for trains should be placed a lot higher, since people can climb up atop trains, and safety measures are precisely there to avoid accidents such as this.)

I don´t know, but I did not think ordinary people know how extremly dangerous this wire is.

Some people don´t listen and feel free to do what they want, and what we see is a stupid or ignorant person.

First he climb the train, what is NOT allowed.
Then he walk on the top of the train, what is VERY NOT allowed.
Then he use the wire, to have somthing to hold, while he walk, naturally, BUT this was the last he did.

The only way we can help those people, I think, is to show them THIS video.

NOT by placing electrical wires higher, or whatever you may say.

My guess is that he didn't know any better. I have seen pictures of people riding on top of trains before in India. Maybe this guy didn't realize that this train had electric propulsion and not diesel. It looked very casual when he touched the catenary - almost like he was leaning on it for support. Not like a deliberate suicide attempt.

First off to the dopes that say, "someone should have done something." There were two people risking their own lives to get this moron off the train. One guy even tried to grab his had. So stop with your nonsense it just makes you sound stupid. Second, to the morons that say, "He didn't mean to do it." Are you stupid too? Of course he meant to do it. Why the fuck do you think he was up there in the first place? To get a better view or to commit suicide by jumping the 12 feet off the train to the ground. Now you realize just how stupid you sound. Third, this editor has a spell check. I'd suggest some of you seriously use it instead of worrying about some fucking towel head. Worry about your loved ones and family and screw everyone else. I'm sure not one of those zips give a shit about you.

Folks-

It looks like we found a prime candidate for the Darwin award! I watched the video many times and read the news article. It seems to me this dumb-ass touched the wire accidentally, which suggests no intentional act to commit suicide. He may have been suicidal; but, many times people in this state are looking for sympathy and really don’t have any intention on following through. Well, in this case, nature showed us the virtues of individuals who reside on the left side of the Bell curve, if you get my drift. Like an early post, “RIP sparky”.

Obviously he didn't understand the physics of electricity. It arced on him. He was actually only threatening to touch it. His hand, if you look closely was only about six inches or more from the wire. He didn't feel nothing. RACK OF RIBS ANYONE???

I was suprised just to even see that he got his second hand up. Usually you would die withing about a metre from it. It's unbelievable and shocking at the same time. One moment he's alive and the next he's cooked on the roof of a train (not as a joke the wires actually melt you from the inside out.) But it's actually good that he died quickly. How would you like to die a slow painful death where your eyes explode your lungs finally melt and all your other insides. (know people that work for our travel system and deals with trains)

Having been on many trains in India, I guarantee you that the service would have remained on schedule and would have arrived at its destination on time. Not like in England, with a few leaves on the rail, service stops.

My message has been removed, leaving me a bit more cynical and sadistic.

1) The man may have been suicidal, but he didn't intend to commit suicide at the moment that was recorded.

2) Humans are intrigued by watching the misfortune of other humans, whether simulated or not (sitcom, boxing, public executions).

3) The posters who commented that this man deserved to die are stupid posters.

4) I will not be back to read your responses, so enjoy responding to air as my posts get deleted anyway.

Okay... well this was interesting.
Only thing that really bothers me though is the fact of the people that call the people that laugh at this cold-hearted and stuff. This is nothing, there are a lot worse things happening around the world this very second and do you cry for those thing? of course you don't, so why should u cry for this?

And saving that man would have been the stupidest thing someone could have done! to start of you would risk getting killed urself, and what good would that do? and even if u save him, do you think he will go on and live a happy life? if something made him wanna commit suicide once, then why couldn't it happen again? as far as I can see his life was at an end even if he would be alive or dead.

But if you gonna commit suicide then why the .... would you do it like that!? that's just stupid and selfish, to start of you could injure or even kill another person while killing yourself and most of the people that saw this live will get traumas. so congratz who ever you were, you killed urself while also fkin up other peoples lives.

Peace
